Regift respects your privacy. This policy explains the kinds of personal information we collect through regift.com.au and the Regift service, why we use it, and the service providers that may process it on our behalf.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Regift, we may collect:
- account and contact details such as name, email address, mobile number and login information;
- fundraiser profile information, including fundraiser name, story, goal, type, organiser details and guardian details where relevant;
- business profile, contact, commercial and settlement information;
- buyer and recipient information needed to process and deliver gift cards;
- transaction, gift-card, balance, redemption and refund information;
- support communications; and
- technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, security logs and service activity.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate Regift, create and manage accounts and storefronts, process payments, issue and deliver digital gift cards, maintain balances and redemption records, calculate fundraiser and business amounts, provide support, prevent misuse and fraud, communicate service information and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Payments and service providers
Regift uses third-party service providers to operate key parts of the service. These may include Stripe for payment processing, WalletWallet for digital wallet and pass infrastructure, SendGrid for email delivery, Texto for SMS delivery, and our WordPress hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices and the services they provide to Regift.
Regift does not intentionally store full payment-card details where payment is processed directly by Stripe.
Sharing information
We may share information with participating businesses where needed to honour, redeem, investigate or support a gift card; with fundraisers where needed to report attributable sales and earnings without unnecessarily disclosing buyer information; with service providers that operate Regift; and where required by law or necessary to protect users, businesses or the platform.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
Cookies and similar technology
Regift and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for login sessions, security, checkout, preferences and site operation. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are added, this policy may be updated and additional consent controls may be provided where required.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain gift-card and transaction records, handle disputes, meet accounting or legal obligations, prevent fraud and enforce our terms. Some transaction records may need to be retained after an account is closed.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should keep account credentials and gift-card codes private and contact Regift promptly if they suspect unauthorised access.
Access, correction and privacy enquiries
You may contact us to request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
