Terms & Gift Card Conditions
These terms apply to the use of regift.com.au, Regift fundraiser and business accounts, and gift cards issued through the Regift platform. Australian Consumer Law rights and other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded continue to apply.
About Regift
Regift provides technology that connects participating businesses, fundraisers and buyers. Participating businesses make gift cards available for distribution through Regift and agree to honour valid cards issued for their business in accordance with the applicable card conditions.
Gift-card value
A buyer who purchases a $50 gift card receives $50 of spending value with the named participating business. Fundraiser earnings and Regift fees are funded from the distribution economics agreed with the business and do not reduce the face value shown to the buyer.
Validity and expiry
Unless a longer period is stated, Regift gift cards are issued with a default validity period of 36 months from the date of issuance. If applicable law requires a different treatment, the legally required minimum or condition applies.
Redemption and remaining balance
Gift cards may be partially redeemed where supported. The redeemed amount is deducted from the card balance and the remaining balance stays available until it is used, expires or is otherwise lawfully cancelled. A card is closed when its balance reaches zero.
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law or expressly stated by the issuing business.
Delivery and card security
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and keeping gift-card links, codes and PINs secure. If a card is lost, misdirected or believed to have been accessed without permission, contact Regift promptly. Replacement or reissue may require transaction verification and may not be possible after value has been redeemed.
Fundraiser earnings
Fundraiser earn rates vary between participating businesses and are displayed before purchase. The applicable rate is recorded at the time of sale. Businesses may change their rate for future sales without changing the economics already recorded for completed purchases.
Fundraiser accounts
Fundraisers must provide accurate information and use Regift only for legitimate purposes. Regift may require verification, restrict public promotion or suspend a fundraiser where information is misleading, activity appears fraudulent or use of the platform creates material legal, security or reputational risk. Fundraisers involving minors should be controlled by an appropriate parent or guardian.
Business accounts
Participating businesses are responsible for honouring properly issued gift cards for their business. Businesses control approved card denominations, commercial distribution settings, maximum outstanding exposure and whether public/social promotion is permitted, subject to Regift platform rules and applicable law.
Payments, refunds and reversals
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. Refund requests for unused gift cards may be assessed according to the circumstances, the participating business arrangement, Regift policies and applicable consumer law. A partially redeemed card may require manual assessment. Regift may cancel or reverse cards and related accounting entries where a payment is refunded, reversed, charged back or found to be fraudulent.
Misuse and fraud
Regift may delay issuance, suspend accounts, pause transactions, cancel compromised cards or request additional verification where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, unauthorised use, money laundering, chargebacks, abuse or other harmful activity.
Service availability
Regift relies on third-party infrastructure including payment, messaging and digital-wallet providers. We aim to keep the service available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Where an issuance or delivery problem occurs after successful payment, Regift will use reasonable efforts to resolve or reissue the affected card.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will apply prospectively unless a change is required by law, security needs or to correct an error.
